Past President of the New Hampshire Land Surveyors Association
Mitch had the great honor of serving as the President of the NHLSA, and continues his volunteerism as Past President. The NHLSA exists to promote the profession of surveying, mapping, land information systems and related fields to support the advancement of technologies, and to help ensure that these professional activities provide for the safety and welfare of the general public.
Loudon NH Conservation Commission (2026 - 2029)
A conservationist at heart, Mitch utilizes his unique perspective on land use, land rights, and local regulations to help advise land use boards on potential conflicts before they arise.
“Academy” is a place. Mitch, his wife, and three children live on a special piece of property in Loudon that is bisected by Academy Brook. Academy Brook originates just behind the historic Gilmanton Academy, which now serves as their Town Offices. The Academy Building is one of the last remaining examples of a nineteenth century academy left standing here in the Granite State.
Though Mitch takes great joy in “teaching” clients the how and the why of Land Surveying, teaching isn’t the main objective. Naturally fascinated by the history of people and places, it’s typically much easier to understand the land boundaries and why they exist where they do once you learn their history; who lived on the land, what was their vocation, and what did their family look like.
